Benton Area School System Hall of Fame Program

Many graduates of the Benton Area High School have made substantial contributions locally, statewide and nationally and will in the Spring of 2004 be recognized through a Hall of Fame program as part of the 2004 Alumni Program.. Recognizing the accomplishments of past graduates may inspire the present and future students to strive for higher achievements.

The Hall of Fame strives to recognize the outstanding contributions of graduates of Benton Area High School by honoring success and excellence while inspiring present and future students. The Hall of Fame seeks to engender a tradition of pride and history to relive, celebrate and motivate.

Nomination Criteria

  1. Nominee must have graduated from Benton High School.
  2. Nominee must be a person who has excelled in his or her career, and/or has achieved statewide, national, or international recognition.
  3. Nominations may be presented on behalf of a candidate who is deceased.
  4. If a nominee is not selected, his or her nomination will be retained and re-evaluated for future consideration.

Nomination Deadline is February 1, 2004.

Committee Responsibilities


The Benton High School Hall of Fame Committee shall be responsible to oversee, develop the operation and select members to the Hall of Fame. It shall set forth a nomination and voting procedure. The committee will hold an induction ceremony to present members with a declaration of recognition. This will occur during our annual alumni banquet in May, 2004.
