Insert Key
|
There is a key on your keyboard called "Insert," usually located in the keypad section to the right of the main keyboard keys. Click it to turn the "insert" feature on and off. In insert mode, all characters you type at the cursor position (or to the right of the insertion point) are added. As you add new letters, it pushes characters to the right of the cursor to make room for the new character you type. When insert mode is turned off, existing characters are overwritten. This is also referred to as overstrike or overwrite mode. | |
